Racking load
What a pallet carries supported only at its ends, in beam racking. A property of the racking system, not of the pallet.
Also called: beam load
Usually the limit that binds, and the one with no universal number. A pallet spanning beams is supported at two edges with unsupported timber in between, so it carries considerably less than on a floor — but how much less depends on the beam spacing, the rack design and how the load sits, none of which the pallet supplier knows. EPAL publishes no racking figure. Get it from whoever engineered the rack, and treat any number offered by a pallet datasheet as a guess.
