Who this is for

Converters and rewinders producing their own branded hand rolls, and distributors with rewinding capacity who would rather buy film by the tonne than by the case.

It is not a cheaper way to buy hand film. Without a rewinder, a 250 kg master roll is not usable.

What to specify

Face width, gauge, cast or blown, core type, and the maximum roll diameter and weight your rewinder handles. That last one is the constraint people forget: a 400 kg roll needs a lifting arrangement as well as a machine that accepts the diameter.

Pricing

By the tonne, quoted against the resin index at the time of order and fixed for the production run. On a repeat programme we fix quarterly, which for a converter with a price list to publish is usually more valuable than chasing the spot market.
