What changes as the percentage rises

Up to 50% there is no practical performance penalty on general waste. Above 50%, two things happen: puncture resistance falls, and a grey cast appears that no colourant fully hides.

For black general-waste sacks neither matters. For a clear stream sack that has to be visually inspected, a high PCR target defeats the purpose of the stream — see clear recycling sacks.

Where a specification needs the strength back, one gauge step up at 80% PCR restores it and still uses less virgin polymer than the original.

Supply, honestly

Recyclate supply is genuinely tight and moves with the market. An 80% specification can add a week at short notice. On a repeat programme we hold material against your forecast so that does not reach you; on a one-off order it can.

What ships with the order

A material composition statement giving the recycled content percentage, the signed Declaration of Conformity for each packaging type, and packaging weights by material — which is the format EPR schemes ask for and the part buyers most often have to reconstruct from invoices at quarter end.
