Declaration of Conformity
The signed document by which the manufacturer declares that packaging conforms, backed by technical documentation.
Also called: DoC, EU declaration of conformity
Drawn up by the manufacturer under Article 15 — and manufacturer means whoever markets the packaging under their own name or trademark, not necessarily the plant that ran the extruder. Importers verify it exists and keep a copy; distributors check it before making the packaging available. Put your brand on a sack and Article 21 makes the declaration yours to issue.
